A hundred word stories. #025

Spaceman by Ryan Licata

spaceman lost in space
The spaceman drifted further out into space. The coiled silver tube that had attached him to the mother-ship, severed by his own hands, resembled an umbilical cord where death gently crept in, and life reluctantly seeped out. The spaceman came to look upon the galaxy that was so infinitely vast and yet about to crush him; he had come as far as he could go, farther than he had imagined, only to see that the stars were no closer to him now than they had ever been once standing on earth. With everything that was his last, he reached out.

Notes

As you can see today only one story/illustration goes on-line. This is due to the fact that my time in the last weeks has been severely limited by the amount of work I have to do. This will change soon, so no need to worry.

    Molto evocativo.

Salto nel passato per dirti che mi ha anche molto ricordato i Trasferelli (di cui andavo matto) e mi sembra quasi di poter aggiungere un paio di meteoriti con un poco di acqua.
