I’ve been using 8tracks for quite some time now. It’s my daily companion at work, or actually I should say that it’s our daily companion since we’re all listening to it where I work. It’s a great way to find good music, discover some new stuff or just quickly play something fitting for a certain moment in the day.

Since I like it so much I’ve decided to create some mixes myself as well, here’s the first two one. They’re both chiptune oriented, soon I’ll post some more, including also other styles and genres.

helios.bz has a new website

December 15th, 2011

helios bz website screenshothelios.bz, the company I work for most of the time, let me have a crucial role in the redesign process for the company’s new CD and their new website. The new design (of which I’m very proud I must admit) finally expresses the vision and the ideals behind the company: to communicate and market sustainability in its many forms. Hence we also dropped the old “audiovisual communication agency” in favor of the much more effective “sustainable communication”.

(Italiano) Workshop di circuitbending a Bolzano

December 13th, 2011

MINI-WORKSHOP circuitbending
Arciragazzi – Creative Media Lab, Premstallerhof
Via Dolomiti 14, Bolzano

It’s finally out! The Horrorist – Joyless Pleasure Remixes

December 11th, 2011

And guess who’s done a remix for the album?

I am very proud to announce the release of Joyless Pleasure Remixed. Haujobb, Frank Kvitta, Phil J, Tomas Tulpe, Millimetric, Cute Heels, Acrosome, Rumpelfilter, Steinkind, Miss Duckin, Miro Pajic, Humandroid, Raytrace, Mac Vaughn, People Theatre, Johann Afterglow, Dom Dumoulin, Angst and Stamba have all created remixes. Everyone did a fantastic job. It’s available today on iTunes, Amazon and the Andtroid Marketplace. Next week it will be available on Beatport. So do tell me which mixes you like the best. The best way to support Wire to the Ear is to buy some of my music and/or click over to the places this release is for sale and give it a nice review and rating. I wish I could still fit into that grey suit and orange turtleneck.

Filadressa 7 cover - Edition Raetia

It’s now finally available! Filadressa #7, a yearly publication by Edition Raetia about tyrolean literature, features one of my short “parasite comic” titled Space Schützen. This comic is a collection of narrative and visual fragments about a dystopian future where the province of South Tyrol (where I live) has become a multinational corporation that comquers alien planets to turns them into alpine holiday destinations for tourists.
